One of Jordan's most famous dive sites are undoubtedly the wreck of the Cedar Pride, which was submerged in the Red Sea in November 1985. The wreck can be dived directly from the coast and is therefore ideal for most divers.

I have previously been snorkelling at Ras Mohammed, but never dived here - despite the fact that I have visited Egypt 10 times. So this time it should be, and it was nothing less than amazing.

Gabr el Bint is south of Dahab, and can be reached only by boat or camel. I have dived here and at the nearby dive sites several times and I understand why it is often mentioned as the best dive site in Dahab area.

Not many know of the relatively small Turks and Caicos Islands there are located southwest of the island group, Bahamas. Fortunately for the coral reefs - which are still unspoiled and very beautiful.

If you poll 10 divers and ask them where to find Great White Sharks chances are they'll tell you South Africa or Australia. Surrounding Isla Guadalupe is a huge and stable population of Great White Sharks, unknown to the general public until now. The island is a wild, harsh, notorious place. It is located 200 miles southwest of San Diego and is a scenic and forbidding collection of cinder cones, ridges and dramatic offshore rocks.

Last night, my long-standing dive buddy, Budd Riker, and I did a night dive at Shaw’s Cove in Laguna Beach, California. Budd had been out to this dive location two nights before and was amazed at the range of sea life he came across. One round stingray after another, large mantis shrimp strolling across the sandy bottom, and surprisingly good visibility considering the flat sandy bottom of the cove.

Zavora is a small town in the Inhambane province, which lies on the coast approx. 420 km. north of Maputo. You turn off the main road and then drive around. 25 km. along a hilly dirt road until you reach Zavora. "The city" is not that much than two lodges and some locals living along the dirt road.
